FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What makes A2 ghee different from regular ghee?

A2 ghee is made from the milk of indigenous cows that produce A2 beta-casein protein, which is easier to digest and less inflammatory than the A1 protein found in most commercial milk. It's believed to be more beneficial for gut health, immunity, and overall well-being compared to regular ghee made from mixed or crossbred cow milk.

Is your A2 ghee made using the traditional Bilona method? Why is that important?

Yes, our A2 ghee is crafted using the traditional Bilona method, which involves hand-churning curd made from whole A2 milk. This process preserves nutrients, enhances flavor, and retains medicinal properties. It's slower and more labor-intensive but results in a ghee that’s richer in Omega-3s, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Is your A2 ghee cruelty-free and sourced ethically?

Absolutely. Our A2 ghee comes from grass-fed Gir cows raised on organic farms, where they are treated with care and not subjected to any cruelty. We ensure ethical milking practices, leaving enough milk for calves, and maintaining a natural, stress-free environment for the cows.

Can A2 ghee be consumed by people with lactose intolerance?

Yes, A2 ghee contains negligible lactose and casein, making it suitable for most people with lactose intolerance. Since it’s clarified butter, the milk solids (where lactose and casein are found) are removed during the process. However, if you're highly sensitive, it’s best to consult your doctor.

How do I know if your A2 ghee is 100% pure and not mixed with other oils or ghee?

Our A2 ghee undergoes rigorous lab testing for purity and quality. We do not mix any preservatives, oils, or additives. You can also tell by its rich aroma, golden-yellow color, and grainy texture—hallmarks of traditionally made, authentic A2 ghee. We’re transparent and happy to share lab reports on request.
